The L1011 is now being stripped of parts. The cockpit windows, front doors are now removed. Behind is a China Airlines 747 which is destined for the chopper. There is another L1011 at VCV, so let's hope the spare from this one will be used to make the other airworthy again.

This old disbanded DC-4 lies among many other old relics at Chandler Memorial Airstrip. Judging by the condition of this and others found here it's fair to say that most have now been abandoned and left to rot. The DC-4 cockpit was quiet intact, some evidence from its fire fighting days remains like the additional pressure or quantity gauge abeam the left control stick.
