This Tanker demonstrated (simulated) AAR to the crowd, with two Hornets following the drogues on this day. The crowd was disappointed that the Hornets weren't 'Hooked Up!'

All that is left of an RAAF Liberator that crash landed in poor weather at Fenton Airfield in the Northern Territory on February 3, 1945. It was built by Consolidated at San Diego with the constructors number 5396 and delivered to the USAAF as B-24L-5-CO Liberator serial number 44-41460. Assigned to the RAAF as Liberator A72-88 with 7 OTU and then 24 SQN. On display at the Darwin Air Museum, NT.

Low res A2A close-cropped front Stbd view of RAAF 3 Squadron F/A-18A Hornet A21-11 0334/AF011, taken late afternoon from 33 Sqn B707-338C(KC) Tanker A20-623 after being modified for Tanker Role by Israel Aircraft Industries staff at the HDH Hangar at Tullamarine. The Portside Mk32B AAR drogue is extended from the B707, orbiting over Wagga NSW during a 5.6 hour Post-Mod Test Flight and test AAR of Hornet A21-11 on 19May1992. The Hornet is hooked up for the second test AAR on A20-623.

Delivered to the RAAF on 4/12/1956 to 78 Wing. It was stationed at RAAF Butterworth, Malaya on 30/10/1959. Later it would serve with 79 SQN at Ubon, Thailand between 1962 and 1968. To 77 SQN on 25/19/1967 and then 2 OCU on 2/9/1969. In 1971 it became a Gate Guard at RAAF Williamtown, NSW and is now preserved at the Fighter World museum.

Manufactured in 1969 with the US Serial 69-15484 and delivered to the RAAF in June of 1970. It was transferred to Army Aviation in December, 1989 and served with 171 Sqn - 1st Aviation Regiment until 2007. Placed in storage until being delivered to the Caboolture Warplane Museum, Queensland on the 12th of August, 2014.

Delivered to 1 AD RAAF on 18/03/1955 and sent to ARDU for high velocity gun installation trials on 22/03/1955. It was modified to Mk. 31 on 30/08/1955. To 81 Wing on 04/03/1963 and then 2 OCU on 08/12/1966. Converted to a fire training aid at Point Cook on 26/03/1974 then on display at RAAF Point Cook until 2014 when it was transferred to RAAF Wagga Wagga to be used as a Gate Guard. In 2018 it was gifted to ANAM at Moorabbin Airport in Victoria.

Close-cropped rear view of RAAF 3 Squadron McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet A21-52 MSN 0782/AF052 on static display at Avalon YMAV on 17Feb1999. (Note light coloured turbine blades in the Stbd engine.) The occasion was the 1999 Avalon International Airshow. RAAF Hornets, including A21-52, were powered by two General Electric F-404 engines (17,700 lbf thrust each) which propelled the aircraft to speeds up to Mach 1.8. [Two AIM-7 Sparrow AMRAAMs are fuselage - mounted on this aircraft.]
