The Eastern titles were added a few days before the well attended Open House at Opa-locka Executive Airport on the 21st. Congratulations to Carlos Gomez, Marc Wolff and everyone involved with this tremendous restoration of 4+ years. The Historical Flight Foundation will be operating this aircraft once it is certificated.

- This image depicts an AA 720, an AA DC-6 and the nose of an Electra with "109" painted on the gear door. I was almost 14 years old when I took this shot and this was the one and only time I've been to ORD. I didn't crop the pole on the left because I thought folks would like to see the terminal building at the time. [126 print scan]

This image was taken a few days before I turned 14 and the last time I've been to ORD, so I guess things have changed since then. I got my money's worth with this shot, because there is a North Central DC-3, a Delta Convair 880, an Eastern Electra, a Continental B707-124 and a United DC-8 visible, plus three others I can't make out. The sign message is almost appropriate for this scenario. Ex-Eastern and Pan Am. This photo was taken several hours after Hurricane Andrew devastated the southern part of Dade County. High winds at MIA blew this bird into the canal and it never flew again. It was scrapped in 1996 at MIA.
