This is the only remaining FC-2 out of the six originally built locally by LAN, now on display after being salvaged in 2005 from the desert where it crash-landed in 1939, and then it was beautifully restored by the National Aviation and Space Museum.

"Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio" Ex CC-XAA, CC-FNG and CC-PPN. This Gipsy Moth was operated by the Chilean Armed Forces from the late 1920s until a decade later. It was then flown in civilian use, first by the Club Aereo de Chile and later by a private pilot. It was donated to the museum in 1980. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm]

"Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio" This is a Chilean version of the Fairchild FC-2W2. It was operated by LAN until it crash landed (without fatalities) in February 1939. It was recovered from the remote crash site in 2005, restored and displayed here in the museum. [Nikon D800 / AF-S Nikkor 16-35mm]
