A fine selection of touring flags adorns the side of this Mooney. However, the German flag looks like it will be the last, at least until a new prop is fitted.

A view of Terminal 3 taken from BA856 as we lift off rw27R bound for Prague (PRG). There are several points of interest; the large number of British Airways flights operating from T3, the presence of Emirates EXPO and TAM (...OK LATAM) Star Wars specials, T4 operating again after being shuttered for so long and it is just great to see 380 Supers back in the air again.

This M-14 has very recently been imported into the Czech Republic after restoration in the UK. It is pictured here landing after its display (its Czech debut?) at the super Aviatická pouť Pardubice 2022. I could not fully understand all the Czech from the show announcer but it is of interest to the Czechs and Slovaks as many of their WWII pilots trained on the type. I suppose it will very soon acquire a Czech registration (May 2022).

This airframe was recovered from Iraq in 1979 and is likely built up from Sea Fury airframes from the Royal Navy and the Iraqi Air Force. The centre-section is definitely marked as ex-Fleet Air Arm WJ298 and after restoration the plane has flown as VH-HFG, N97SF amd now D-CRZY. Pictured taking off to perform a super display at Aviatická pouť Pardubice 2022.

This is the only Czechoslovak L-29 to wear camouflage. These markings were an experimental coating developed within the research task LERAN and applied in February 1975. These special synthetic paints were intended to reduce the heat radiation of the aircraft and thus limit detection by weapons with infrared guidance. Since its last flight in March 1977 it has remained in storage but has now been placed on display at the super Letecké Muzeum Kbely.

This plnae was built as an Avia-14M and operated by the MNO (Ministry of National Defence) from July 1958. From April 1961, it then flew with CSA as OK-MCB but returned to the Air Force and was converted to -14FG around 1967/1968. It made its last flight in April 1994 from Pardubice to Kbely, where it was stored base side on the grass. It has now been moved into the Letecké Muzeum Kbely and beautifully restored.

This 77W was originally delivered to Cathay Pacific in December 2009 as B-KPM and flew with the airline until retirement in June 2020. Various periods of storage followed but it has now joined Qatar Airways on lease, presumably covering for the wfu A350s. It is pictured departing off rw28 as QR96 for the return flight to Doha (DOH).
