MSW is a two years full-time postgraduate degree course. Graduate from any discipline with 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC/ST candiates) are eligible to apply for admission. The selection of candidates willbe done on the basis of combined performance in academic career and group discussion/interview. Graduates having more thatn 60% will get 50% concession of course fees.
This is a two years program aims at developing management professionals. This minimum requirement for admission to the programme is:- three-years Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, whith at least 50% marks in aggreagate (45% in case of SC/ST candidates). The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of combined performance in academic career and group discussion/interview.
The profession of social work is dedicated to solving and preventing social problems, whether they involve individuals, families small groups, organizations, or communities. A broad range of employment opportunites exists. Social workers are found in hospitals, public schools, family agencies, industry, curts, probation deparments, government sectors, children's agencies, and in facilities that serve persons with disabilities. The primary purpose of the social work programme is to prepare students for beginning professional social wrik practice, In addition, students are prepared for postrgraduate education and responsible citizenship.
This programme helps the students to develop key abilities which they need on the job: working effectively with others, thinking and acting positively, learning to manage people, and improving written and oral communication. Rural Management course attempts to develop student’s sensitivity to the concerns of the rural people; helps them in appreciating constraints and possibilities for development and gives them a flavor of community work at the grassroots level.
