Fantastic!
Great "low sun" light, incredible view and from an incredible place, the flight deck of a 767.
I'd love to see more pictures like this, where one can see approaches from the cockpit but not just in straight view. I hope you know what I mean...!
Thank you Bailey!

Ah, and I love the fact that the pilot is "chilling out" watching the landscape :)
It makes me thinking that airplanes are still something magic and cute, and not just technical.

It seems the pilot is also enjoying the view.

This is a very nice photo. For those that don't know the two crew concept, the captain appears to be pilot not flying(PNF) and the first officer (FO) whose left hand you can see on the throttle levers is pilot flying(PF). You can bet your bottom dollar that the FO is looking ahead at the runway as well as confirming his position with the instruments!

Beautiful jumpseat shot! You really feel as if you are in the cockpit! Just so everyone knows, this runway extending out into the sea was built just in 2001. It was built to move the air traffic away from flying over the city. The result is one of the most beautiful approaches in the world where you skim along the entire western coastline and can easily spot major landmarks such as the Raouche Rocks and the Movenpick Resort. Beautiful shot of a city commonly known as the Paris of the Middle East and the Pearl of the Orient, and for good reason too.

Simply beautiful and unique pic. Reminded me of my jumpseat ride into DXB some years ago, sad that because of 9/11 this is the closest I will ever come to experiencing something like that again. Wondering if there are any cabin shots of this aircraft as I believe it is VIP configuration.

I live in Beirut and everytime i land i try to sit at the left window and simply stare at this beautiful city and the Lebanese coast exactly as this pilot is doing!!! I suspect that most of the pilots simply can't resist the view, nevertheless i don't remember a single problem while landing, surely there's something magical in the air!!!

This is a wonderful picture. Even if you didn't like airplane photos, this would capture you. It tells not just one story, but many stories. What is happening down there? What is the captain thinking? How is the plane doing on its approach? How does a human being cope with such complex technology? I can't imagine ever getting tired of looking at this picture. A few years ago I had the chance to visit Israel and would now like to see more of this enchanting area. I had thought of going south to Egypt. But, after seening this photograph, guess what's next on my list! My warmest congratulations to Bailey.

I really think this is a wonderful picture. You have captured many points of interest: Flight deck and captain tinged with sunshine; great clarity of city views/coastline/impressive high rise, and to top it off, views of runway ahead and we can follow this 767's final approach along the coast to touchdown.
