A very close and low encounter with the Irish Airline. She wears a very appropriate registration too! This photo gives a lot of details of LAX surroundings! [Nikon D2x]

Excellent photo, purely because it was caught at the right time, rare to see these from above angles, really depicts the size of the A330, and its height from the ground. Mostly, because its a rarity to see aircraft on approaches this low, (apart from old Kai-Tak).

Amazing close up - How do you get this perspective? It looks dangerously close to "Traffic Alert" - Excellent shot though.

Nice shot. Not only was the A330 the first Airbus I ever flew in but I actually flew this same exact bird back in May 1999 from Boston to Shannon. Coincidently it was the same week that they were starting the DUB-LAX run and our flight was one of their "practice flights" (lol). The captain even announced during our flight over that the plane was brand new and was barely a month that "Shamrock" had taken delivery of it.

Reminds me somewhat of that old joke about Irish runways. A fantastic photograph of not only my favourite type of aircraft but the example of which I assembled a Revell kit a couple of years ago. That green is gorgeous on our national carrier's 330s. :)

It is fact, that the A330 is almost the same plane as the A340. But I can not believe that it works. I have to look to the wings where normally are the other two engines placed. Does the A330 have more powerfull engines?
