Welcome to Singapore... who will be the first airport to fly the A380 and on this occasion was the first to host the aircraft on its inaugural intercontinental flight and first sortie outside of Europe. Looking majestic wearing Singapore Airlines' titles as she crosses the South Cross taxiway. I could not have pulled off this shot with the help of Kok Chwee, thanks buddy! [Nikon D70]

This is an amazing picture. This second aircraft bridge was built especially for the A380 as the old one was not big enough. Notice how 'oversized' the A380 looks, even on this new bridge customised for it.

Boy, I could swear the bridge is bending slightly. Great picture - gives you a good idea of airport impressions in the near future. I'm looking forward to it.

If you're in Singapore and drive under that bridge on the way to the airport, the bridge looks hughe. I remember always thinking that they must be able to fit at least two A380's on it! But this picture proves otherwise! The A380 is truely a giant! Congrats on an awesome shot! :D

Stunning picture - so far the most explicit picture to give an idea of the size of the A380. It dwarfs anything around it. It can't even fit within an 8-lane highway, and that's what this picture shows.

Anonymous

This bridge connects the two runways at Changi - 02R and 02L. It also provides motorists with stunning images of overhead moving "winged vehicles"! What's really crazy about Singaporeans - surely must be that they drive on the "wrong side" of the road - a legacy left behind in no doubt by the British colonial masters.

It probably wasn't fully loaded... An A380-900 with 550-650 pax+luggage, full fuel, catering and maybe some extra cargo could quite possibly be too much for this bridge. And no, not 'slow 200M ahead,' more like slow it down now, we want to check out this plane 20m ahead and 10m above !
Anonymous
Correct, not fully loaded, but this bridge is tested to withstand a fully laden A380.....technology! WOW!
