The engine was running bit hot making the blades glow red :) Nah, the sun just illuminating the inside of the engine giving it a nice look! On a flight from Amsterdam to Singapore (SQ323).

I think it's a pretty good shot becuase it makes a subsonic turbofan engine look like a turbojet supersonic one. even that it's just the sunglare, but it's fun anyway.

The engine has a nice glow from the sun almost as if you can see the combustion that's taking place. Perfectly captured amidst some nice clouds like a blanket....very very nice.

The light of the sun seems to be coming from the direction where the plane is heading (the orange glow) but the wing seems to be hiding a bright light...that looks like the sun! coming from the opposite side! ..is it that the sun reflects on the clouds behind? and it looks coming under the wing, does make sense? great!

Very unusual shot. You never get to see beyond the intake compressor even when the engine is stopped. Here the stator blades are plainly visible, even casting their shadow on the scrim-like plane of the rotating compressor. I've never seen this before and in fact I didn't know it was possible! A wonderful shot, congratulations.

The light looks like its coming from inside the engine. There isn't any sunlight that shade of orange anywhere else shining on the plane. Plus the sun looks like its setting behind the plane not in front and could not obviouslyshine thru the back to front of the engine. Maybe it was running hot lol.

Awesome shot. At first I couldn't understand how the sun could illuminate the front when the clouds show it is behind the aircraft. Then I realized the sun is shining THROUGH the engine!
