Alfred Hitchcock would love this shot... Almost a serious birdstrike... Fortunately neither the plane nor the birds have been hurt in this incident.

It's really a unique pic, with the birds, I've never seen a photo like this.

The awesome rarity of the photo assuming that every one ended up being alright. Although, I'm sure a few birds did not make it but this is certainly something I never would be able to see with out your site.

I wonder if the birds thought it was a superior bird to them. Such as a mother, or father.. Very nice.

I think that it is a good shot because it is very unusual to see a bunch of birds right next to a plane when it is taking off.

I think the birds are actually much further from the plane, so it's an optical illusion thus no birds were injured during this photo and the plane got away...i think

Maybe yes or maybe no - I was freaked out when I saw this photo for the first time. Take a look at the birds: I think they were also freaked out...

An absolutely wonderful shot, however, none of you bird-lovers or passenger types need worry. this talented photographer used specific timing for this shot. Check the plane and how clear and sharp it is, now see that each and every bird is out of focus and none are near the fuselage of the aircraft. one more note the plane is on approach, not on take-off, flaps seem to set at 40 degrees...

Those birds for us airline pilots are a nightmare specialy when on a short final with the thrust or the n1 reduced to idle and flaps at max and we see those takingoff oups... come to my mind.

As someone mentioned previously, it's an illusion -- the birds are much closer. These probably aren't really big birds, but compare the size of the birds and passenger windows.
