This is probably a view that cannot be seen very often. And the greenish shiny colors turn it into a ghostly theme.

And it makes a very good desktop as well

This is probably a view that cannot be seen very often, especially when you're unlucky enough to fly the so-called Dreamliner! It's sad that the company that gave us the iconic 747 would ruin flying for window seat fans with their gimmicky dimmable windows on the 787, a friend of mine missed out on enjoying this stunning view and the spectacular sights of Greenland because of this stupid feature that allows the crew to override pax and dim and lock all the windows whenever they want! I don't usually reply to old comments but I had to make an exception to profess my utter hatred for the dimmable windows. :(

umm. okay?

If this awful feature becomes standard on all future airliners, enjoying the beauty of the world from an airplane's window will become a thing of the past. I don't know how could someone who call themselves an avgeek be okay with that!

The purest of natural wonders. It looks like the Northern Lights that I witnessed Fairbanks, AK. No matter the cause, it shows that no matter how far we have come in aviation, nature cannot be controlled. It is absolutely beautiful.

One word: in-cre-di-ble. It's not only that the colours are great. The green reflection on the wing's surface. The red line of the horizon and then, the incoming night's blue colours with a little group of stars in the background. It's not only that, but you were able to capture "the moment", the essence, the spirit and the magic of one of the best things on Earth. That's one in a million. Congratulations and thanks for sharing it with us.

...that almost stands out as much as the photograph itself.

Wow. The contrast between the natural wonder of the aurora with the wing of the plane (and the technological accomplishments it represents), along with the way the light of the aurora reflects off the wing, make for an absolutely stunning photo.

It's Beautiful but, mostly every night at my house 20km north of Winnipeg we see this right out of our back yard. We see red, Yellow, Blue and Green and Sometimes a bright reddish Pink. It's fabulous but, seeing it out of a jet would be pretty cool too. You should come visit Winnipeg, MB . Tons of Air Canada, WestJet, and Northwest Planes. It's a Lovely City. Come drop by and take advantage of this unique City. Greetings From Lockport and Congrats on the Pic!!!!!

Wow, this is such an awesome shot and the timing of all things falling together to create such amazing footage for all to see, and those of us who may never have the chance to ever see such beautiful magnificence, well to me I want to give a big THANKS to the man who was so generous with his film so as to bring to the world an absolute Masterpiece! Bravo! You are probably one of the most appreciated artists right now, so enjoy the glory as you truly deserve it!
