How lucky can you get. All week Concorde was running late with arrivals/departures only after sunset. Today she was right on time, but the weather was lousy all day. However just as she came on short final, the sun came out setting her in beautiful evening light . . . WOW! Canon 10D, 100-400L @ 400mm [+50% digital crop], handheld 1/100, f/8.0; IS is a great thing on big glass!

Taken at good angle and sharpness/ clarity. Revealing great details, including landing gears, intakes and air craft numbers. Finally the haze above the wings made this picture perfect.

This will be my first postcard photo from A. Net. This is art, this photo celebrates the most amazing flying machine so far created by man kind. I hope that the gentleman who snaped this piece of art, dedicates his contribution to the airplane so many of us love and miss. God bless all of you who put so much into keeping all airplanes alive through such beautiful photography. Thank you all of you. Take care Bros. MCY

I love the angle of this shot. The fact that it is taken against a clear background brings the focus of the viewer into the plane instead of the background. The angle almost gives the viewer the feeling of actually being there to take off - a feeling of adventure.

Exceptional clarity, you can see what the pilot had for breakfast. because of the way the light strikes the aircraft, it gives an unusual tint to the picture to make it unique.

I have never seen Concorde “alive & kicking”; but looking at this photo I can imagine what it must have been like; what a beautiful airplane! Majestic, impressive, huge but still elegant, the Queen of the skies. And this great photo shows its beauty even more appropriate: what a great setting to see one of the last flights of the Concorde at sundown! Thank you, Harm Rutten, for this wonderful tribute to such a wonderful airplane!

The picture makes me wonder if this is real or someone's imagination. The spectacular shape of the aircraft, seeing the landing gear, the wing span and the super engines so clearly makes me wild. It confirms my theory that, the concorde is a plane that was made ahead of its time. The majesty of the skies, I love it more and more. Best picture Harm!!!

This photo portrays the elegance and sheer power of an aircraft of advanced design that was conceived long before the "digital age". From this angle it resembles a fixed-wing manta ray. This is also the best angle to observe it's overall uniqueness.

Unfathomable that such a marvel is no more. Young kids of today will never experience the sight and sound of such a beauty. Yes there maybe new and better SST, however I doubt that the beauty & grace with which Concorde flew may not be matched forever. A true loss for generations to come. Thanks for capturing & etching her in perfect pose!

Contrast of machine against a perfect almost neutral color background // crispness of definition of aircraft components // moisture bleed off leading edge of wing.

Highly dynamic shot! Crisp, sharp, and the angle of the aircraft is classic. Love the condensation off the wings, definitely unique.

The photos deserves 5 stars from me because of the following: It's "Pin-sharp" and in superb focus! The angle of view is a little more straight on than a 45 degree view. The direct low angle yellow tinted sun light lights up the underside and landing gear just right, especially against the contrasting neutral grey of the background clouds. The photo has captured the low pressure condensing white water vapour forming above the wing beautifully. We can see the crew, and it's Concorde! :)
What could be better?!

Superb picture of a superb aircraft. Great timing with the light and dark cloud behind, which is a metaphor for Concorde's out of service date looming behind it :-(
