I love the angle of this shot. The fact that it is taken against a clear background brings the focus of the viewer into the plane instead of the background. The angle almost gives the viewer the feeling of actually being there to take off - a feeling of adventure.

I have never seen Concorde “alive & kicking”; but looking at this photo I can imagine what it must have been like; what a beautiful airplane! Majestic, impressive, huge but still elegant, the Queen of the skies. The picture makes me wonder if this is real or someone's imagination. The spectacular shape of the aircraft, seeing the landing gear, the wing span and the super engines so clearly makes me wild. Unfathomable that such a marvel is no more. Young kids of today will never experience the sight and sound of such a beauty. Yes there maybe new and better SST, however I doubt that the beauty & grace with which Concorde flew may not be matched forever. A true loss for generations to come. The photos deserves 5 stars from me because of the following: It's "Pin-sharp" and in superb focus! The angle of view is a little more straight on than a 45 degree view. The direct low angle yellow tinted sun light lights up the underside and landing gear just right, especially against the contrasting neutral grey of the background clouds. The photo has captured the low pressure condensing white water vapour forming above the wing beautifully. We can see the crew, and it's Concorde! :)
