Powerful shot of this memorable distinguished bird.it's also the last plane my dad ever flew for Pan-Am before his retirement.Those were the days when air travel with this airline was a "real trip".

DC10 taking off, love the fog in the engines.

This is a reminder of two classics: the airline (Pan Am) and the jetliner (DC-10). It looks even better with condensation filling all three engines.

Classic Pic. Ah the memories

What I love about this shot -apart from the subject and the airline- is how the white nose cone matches the condensation in the intakes.
Although I flew Pan Am plenty of times, never in a DC-10.

Beautiful angle. I love the condensation in the engines and the fact that you can see the captain in the cockpit. That, and it's a former National DC-10.

Never seen DC-10 look so great, my favourite plane, great shot.

I love everything about this shot... the DC-10, Pan Am, the condensation in the engines, and the reflection of the wing on the metal of the plane.... LOVE IT. DECronk

My favorite part is how you can see the captain's head compared to the size of the DC-10. It really shows you how big these machines are!!

Pan Am used these heavily on the MIA-SJU routes early 80s. I ssw Pan Am's dc-10 plwnty of times at SJU!
