One of the best desktop wallpapers I ever had. The way the photographer took the picture, with both planes flying diagonally on it make it a very nice picture. I like it! brgds / (gp)

This picture is not excelent because someone just caught it on camera it is fabulous because of it's detail and more than this i think that the traffic controllers wanted this flights to fly one above other because they could just told them to fly a litlle more to the left or to the right. SO IT IS A VERY GOOD PICTURE indeed

There'e nothing 'hit and miss' about this great shot.
The British press made a big thing out of a similar optical illusion recently when a JAL 777 and a DHL A300 were photographed in the 'stack' over East London. They claimed it was a near miss but in fact there was standard 1000 feet seperation. It was a particularly clear day and the telephoto lens foreshortened the gap. I guess that as these two are trailing we are up at about 20,000 ft minimum so telephoto lens foreshortening becomes even greater.

Swing your partner - Do-Si-Do; around the airspace we will go! Folks, it's called RVSM, it's backed up with TCAS/ACAS and other wonderful electronic inventions. It's highlighted by GPS/WAAS navigation putting aircraft directly on top of one-another on routes. Any one of you who feels uncomfortable with this doesn't sit where you'd ever notice. Happy Trails! --DtD
